Kyle Busch, DRIVER OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG’S/CARQUEST IMPALA SS: (ON HOW PHYSICAL THE RACING IS AT DOVER. ) “It’s tough. I seem to always be on edge at Dover. My hands are tense and tight on the wheel and your body goes through some pretty high G-forces because of the high banking, so it’s hard. I don’t know if the new Impala SS will change any of that because we are actually racing a little slower. We’ll see. “
Kyle Busch: (ON BEING A PART OF SATURDAY’S ESPN BROADCAST. ) “This will be the first time that I will be a part of the ESPN broadcast on the media side instead of from the driver’s seat. It’s cool that our sport has opportunities like this for drivers to give their take on things. “
Kyle Busch: (ON DOVER BEING A “SELF-CLEANING” RACE TRACK. ) “The track is so banked it’s almost self-cleaning. Whatever hits up top will eventually end up on the bottom. My spotter Jeff (Dickerson) is always on his toes there because things happen in a hurry. “
Kyle Busch: (ON PAST PERFORMANCE AND RACING THE CAR OF TOMORROW AT DOVER. “We have run so well there in the past, but all our notes are null and void because of the new Impala SS. So I’d like it if we can go up there and run well based on past performance, but we will just have to see. The test would have been beneficial, but time-wise it just couldn’t happen—so now everyone is in the same boat. Hendrick Motorsports has been running so well, I think we will all figure it out once we get there. “
